Konstantin Pape was born and raised in Dresden, Germany. 
Coming from a background of fine arts and photography which he studied at Burg Giebichenstein School of Arts and Design in Halle from 2012 on, he decided to specialize in cinematography and started studying at Filmakademie Baden-Württemberg in 2016.
As part of a scholarship program he spent a semester in Paris studying at La Fémis film school in 2018.
Since then he has been based in Berlin and Paris shooting mainly fictional projects.
Konstantin Pape has shot over a dozen short and middle length films, music videos and a feature-length documentary. 
His work has been screened at various national and international film festivals. 
In 2022 he shot his first narrative feature film as director of photograph and has wrapped a second feature last year.
